The heartbreak left her so emotionally and mentally crippled she was admitted to a mental health clinic.

'I was in a terrible state and I needed treatment.'
She added: 'I couldn’t cry because the shock went too deep. Crying is a great relief. But for me the pain was beyond that and I was unable to cry. Everything was bottled up.'

She said that she only married Tony because her son Gary desperately wanted a father figure.
so when the short marriage ended it wasn't just herself that she worried about as she feared how her son would react.
