By 'eck it's cold! Coronation Street's Alison King and Chris Gascoyne

There is the age-old saying 'it's grim up North', but today it just seems to be cold - if the cast of Coronation Street are to be judged as a living barometer.
After a week of seasonably spring-like weather, the mercury has taken a slight dip back towards winter in Manchester and the cast of the long running soap have been seen wrapping up for some on-location filming.
Soap stars Carla Connor and Peter Barlow were seen braving the elements on Friday afternoon as they filmed a scene outside a garage in the northern city.

While exact details of the scene are unclear, the pair were said to encounter Rob Donovan (played by Marc Baylis) as they filmed and three got involved in a scripted argument.

Brunette babe Alison King, 40, - who plays Carla in the soap - looked especially chilly as she wore a thick jacket and hugged a pink hot water bottle while outside.
Co-star Chris Gascoyne, 45, - who plays Peter - also hugged a hottie, although this one had the added warmth and softness by being covered in a fur-like case.

With the weather overcast in the area, slight rain, and temperatures keeping below double figures, it's no wonder the TV stars were struggling to keep warm.
Staff were on hand to provide hot cups of tea to keep the pair warm between takes as filming went on into the afternoon.
A source for ITV told MailOnline that Carla and Peter will have big storylines in the summer - when scenes filmed currently will air - but kept tight lipped about exact details.
Meanwhile, cast members came under fire this week from show bosses as a clampdown on tweets by the stars from the set was issued.

'The Twitter stuff has been getting out of hand recently, with people posting all kinds of photos which could be detrimental to the show,' a show source said this week after an image of the newly re-built Rovers Return was leaked on the social networking site.
'The bosses would rather people didn't know what the Rovers looks like ahead of time, and these snaps clearly blew that.'
The clampdown was issued after Simon Gregson, who plays Steve McDonald in the soap, tweeted a picture of Alison along with Kym Lomas (Michelle Connor) and Craig Charles (Lloyd Mullaney) from inside the set of the iconic pub.
