A ride in a horse-drawn carriage around London is sure to earn brownie points for any young Romeo.
But Mark Wright gave the concept something of an Essex twist as he treated girlfriend Michelle Keegan to a ride in a rickshaw as they celebrated her 26th birthday.
The Coronation Street actress and her former TOWIE star beau squeezed themselves into one of the bicycle-powered vehicles to head to dinner following a trip to the theatre.

However, Mark certainly didn't scrimp on the rest of the celebrations, treating Michelle to box tickets to watch Jersey Boys before the pair headed to Nobu Berkeley for a bite to eat.
Clearly thrilled with the choice of entertainment for the evening, Michelle tweeted a picture of herself sitting on Mark's lap in their box, writing: 'Just about to watch a show. Bday celebrations @MarkWright_ Richard Gere eat your heart out #prettywoman.'
And Michelle told MailOnline of her birthday celebrations: 'It has been the best birthday ever . I felt like i was in the film Pretty Woman. Mark made it so very special and I am very lucky.'
Michelle showed off her slim figure in a stunning turquoise dress for the occasion, teaming the sleeveless dress with towering nude heels and turquoise accessories.

Mark, meanwhile, opted for jeans, a white T-shirt and black jacket, going for a casual look a la David Beckham.
The 26-year-old reality star certainly appeared protective of Michelle during the evening out, struggling to keep his hands off the actress as the pair enjoyed their night.
A source told MailOnline of the couple's night out: 'For Michelle's birthday Mark pulled out all the stops , they enjoyed a few days prior to her birthday in Spain, and then after her appearance on This Morning yesterday - he gave her a "proper London day out ".

'This included visiting The Tower Of London which is somewhere she has always wanted to go . They stayed at the Ritz , he hired a box for them to watch Jersey Boys , dinner and cocktails as Nobu afterwards.'

While the pair didn't coordinate with their outfits for the night out, they did succeed in matching their deep golden tans.
Discussing her bronzed complexion on This Morning earlier in the day, Michelle told hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby: 'Luckily Tina has been on holiday with Tommy [in Corrie] so they have bronzed Chris up and I've just come in looking like this so it kind of matches!'
However, Michelle added she's not too hopeful she'll be named Sexiest Female at the Soap Awards again now that she's turned 26.
She commented: 'I doubt it, I've turned 26 now, that's it, they won't be giving me it again! To be fair, it's one of them situation where people say 'do you think you're gonna win it', and I don't think I'm gonna win it every year at all, and when I do, it's a really nice surprise and the fact people have voted is really flattering.'

They're both known for their love of holidays as well as fake tan on the rare occasion they're not bronzed enough.
So it seems Michelle Keegan and Mark Wright are a match made in overly bronzed heaven.
The pair have been working hard on their tans recently and showed off their matching coloured skin on Tuesday morning.

Michelle was due to give an interview on ITV1's This Morning, and she brought Mark along to keep her company.

It appears the pair are now inseparable, and they've clearly been spending plenty of time together as they even co-ordinated their outfits.
Both TV stars wore tight dark denim jeans, while they ensured their tans stood out as much as possible in matching white tops.

Keegan, 26, finished off her smart casual look with some yellow wedges and a turquoise bracelet to add a splash of colour.
Once in the ITV studios Michelle decided to open up about a whole manor of topics - with Wright all the while stood behind camera as he proudly watched his girlfriend being grilled for questions.
She even took the opportunity to discuss her tan, telling hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby: 'Luckily Tina has been on holiday with Tommy [in Corrie] so they have bronzed Chris up and I've just come in looking like this so it kind of matches!'

Keegan also spoke about feeling broody and the pregnancy scenes she's recently had to film for Coronation Street: 'My mum just said it really hurt! And I watched a lot of One Born Every Minute... and asking a lot of advice from women that have had babies and to be fair the stories were all completely different, but I just went with what I felt was right.
'Did it make me broody? No. But to be fair, no, I've always been broody - which I am - but I'm gonna wait...'
She added: 'I'd never worked with a new born baby before and in my family there are no small babies so I'd never really handled them before and it was really daunting especially because they are so little and wriggly as well, but the [real] mother is always there so that's a comfort.'
After filming the show Keegan and Wright then left to spend some quality time together.
They jumped into a car ready to enjoy yet more sunshine in London.

The Coronation Street actress looked fresh and comfortable in the olive green frock as she took a break from filming the soap.

The 29-year-old styled her hair in loose curls, which were the perfect complement to her Grecian look.

Her relaxed style was in contrast to her more clingy on-screen outfits in Coronation Street.

Catherine plays barmaid Eva Price on the soap, a feisty character with a high maintenance lifestyle.

She admits that her personal style is often very different from that of her alter-ego.

‘She wears the stuff I would never have the nerve to wear. It's weird, sometimes you just feel really glam and it's a nice feeling,’ she said.

She also says that her role as Eva demands lots of preening and beauty treatments, which can be exhausting. 
‘It's an effort, it's a real effort actually,’ she said. ‘Because you're constantly thinking, “Have I painted my nails? Have I fake tanned? Do my roots need doing?”’

She often experiments with her style but on Monday Helen Flanagan suffered a slip up in the style stakes.
The 22-year-old actress managed to stand on her dress as it dragged along the floor, giving her an altogether scruffy appearance.
Helen's black maxi was far too long for her frame and it boasted a frill detail that she struggled to avoid standing on.

It was recently revealed that Helen has bagged herself a new film role, she will play a blonde bombshell in Fizzy Days, a film set in the 1970s. 
The comedy also stars This Is England’s Stephen Graham and Shameless stars Jody Latham and James Drefus.

Former Coronation Street star Dawn Acton has shaved her head in memory of her late mother.
The 36-year-old actress, who played Tracy Barlow for 11 years until leaving the show in 1999, decided to get rid of her hair to raise money for charity, following the death of her volunteer worker mother Jean Acton aged 56 last year.
She said of the decision: 'I wanted to do something that was quite striking so people would take a bit of notice and a woman shaving her head does get a reaction. I wanted to shock people and hope they'll give us money.'

Mother-of-one Dawn is hoping to raise £2,000 with her actions.
Dawn first appeared in the ITV1 soap in 1988, aged just 11, and was later involved in major storylines including her near fatal ecstasy overdose.
She was written out of the show in 1999, but reauditioned for her role in 2002 when Corrie bosses brought the character back. However, the part was instead given to Kate Ford.

Dawn is now famous as a local DJ, and works as a voluntary worker for Beanstalk, an organisation which helps children learn to read.
She said: 'Obviously I do miss working in Corrie but I do find the work I do now very rewarding. The fact is I believe everyone should have the chance to learn to read.

'I still do DJ-ing but I like volunteering for Beanstalk as I supported children to read about things they were interested in and for them to be able to get enjoyment from it.'
Dawn added that it was her mother who originally got her involved in volunteering, and specifically with Beanstalk.
She said: 'My job is now to help others, we deliver training, all around funding, how to run a good charity or community group.
'We help groups source funding and support them to make sure they're running the charities right. I really enjoy it I get to meet lots of different types of people. My mum worked for Beanstalk for a long time, maybe eight years or longer, she was a charity coordinator so he supported the volunteers in what they did in the schools.
'And that's how I got into volunteering. When my son was young and I wasn't working as much through the day I had some time on my hands and I love reading and it's all about trying to help children understand that reading isn't necessarily a chore.'
During Dawn's time in the show viewers were gripped in 1995 by Tracy's resentment of her mother Deirdre during her stormy marriage with husband Ken.

Tracy became a sullen, trouble-making teen and was furious when Deirdre divorced Ken in 1990 and later decided to marry Moroccan waiter Samir Rachid. She grudgingly attended the wedding, but stayed only for long enough to say she'd been there.
Several months later Tracy landed in hospital, having collapsed after taking ecstasy at a club. Her kidneys failed and she needed a transplant. Samir was tested and found to be a match but he was attacked on the way to the hospital and died.
His kidney was used and Tracy was saved but Deirdre resented her daughter because her carelessness with drugs ultimately costing Samir his life.
Tracy left for London not long after and returned briefly in 1999 to marry carpet fitter Robert Preston in a £14 wedding dress.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror, Helen said: 'I've always been really broody. We're thinking Christmas time - we've talked about it and everything.'
