Their Coronation Street alter-egos may not be known for their sense of style.

But Brooke Vincent and Catherine Tyldesley looked a long way from Weatherfield as they stepped out looking polished to perfection on Thursday night.
Opting for flattering LBDs, the co-stars cut chic and stylish figures as they attended the launch of the new Genting Club and Casino in their native Manchester.

Brooke, 20, showed off her toned and tanned pins in a tiny black minidress, which she teamed with a leather jacket and towering black patent Christian Louboutin peep-toe shoes.

The actress - who plays teen lesbian Sophie Webster in the ITV1 soap - sported a glowing tan from her recent sun-soaked holiday to Dubai with footballer boyfriend Josh McEachran, and completed her girls' night out look with a stylish tribal-inspired cuff bracelet.
However, the brunette beauty admitted she was having an outfit dilemma earlier in the evening.
Writing on her Twitter page, she said: 'Don't know what to wear !!!!!! Stressing!!!'

Meanwhile, Catherine, who plays feisty barmaid Eva Price in Corrie, opted for a chic pencil dress which featured a lace panel.
The 29-year-old actress teamed her ensemble with a black quilted Chanel handbag and black suede platform heels.
It would appear the duo enjoyed their evening away from the cobbles, with both seeming thrilled to be enjoying a girls' night out on the town.
Brooke tweeted: 'Cool night at @gentingclubmcr great venue x.'
While Catherine added: 'Great night @gentingclubmcr !!'

And despite looking chic and sophisticated on the red carpet, the girls seemed to enjoy a spot of larking around inside the venue - with Brooke treating her Twitter followers to a snap of her looking hilarious in a giant Minnie Mouse head.
But there's no rest for the wicked, with both girls up bright and early after their night out to get hard to work shooting scenes for the soap.
Brooke tweeted: 'Don't like dark mornings :(.. Make up time ... Early start - Early finish.'
The actress has been in her fair share of hard-hitting storylines in recent months, and last week was caught up in a dramatic car crash scene - leaving her rebellious character near-dead following a drug-fuelled argument with bad boy co-star Ryan Connor.

As Carla Connor in Coronation Street, she hasn't had much luck in her relationships.
Now life seems to be imitating art for actress Alison King after splitting with her fiancé Adam Huckett, who works on the show as a sound assistant.
Despite getting engaged in Paris last year and welcoming their first daughter Daisy Mae in 2009, the couple seem to have gone their separate ways.

A source has said that the couple decided to call it quits after trying and failing to make the relationship work:

Alison has just returned to the ITV soap after taking a four month break to concentrate on her family.

 

'It's been three years since I had a baby and I've been working for all of that time, so I haven't been able to spend too much time with my family,' she said of the decision.
Alison has allegedly spoke to her on-set friends about the break-up and is trying to stay friend with her former partner, who she started dating after meeting on the show in 2007.

The couple are said to still be chatting when they see each other on set and have told friends that there was no one else involved in the break up.

The 39-year-old star, who won Best Actress at this year's British Soap Awards, has previously had a five-year relationship with co-star Philip Middlemiss.
She also got engaged to fellow Dream Team actor Jim Alexander in 2006 but they split in 2007, not long before Alison started her relationship with Adam.

It was revealed earlier this month that Helen had moved into a £6,500-a-month mansion with her footballer beau Scott Sinclair in Alderley Edge - a favourite location for sportsmen and their WAGs.
The new surroundings are a far cry from the more humble settings Helen and Scott were used to down in Swansea, Wales, where they lived together for just over a year before moving out in August.
The couple spent most of September living in a suite at the Radisson Blu Edwardian in Manchester.

With Max spending most of this year in the US with The Wanted, the relationship became somewhat strained and the pair revealed they had called off their engagement in April.
But the final nail in the coffin came in July when Max was seen kissing a pretty blonde during a night out.
Since the split, Max's ex-girlfriend, Bobbi Aney, has come forward to claim she and the star shared a series of sexy texts throughout his relationship with Michelle.
