Show insiders have revealed that key characters will risk their lives trying to save those trapped inside as the iconic Street pub is left 'utterly devastated'.

Coronation Street's Gloria Price will be left stunned when she discovers her late wealthy lover had a secret wife.
Sue Johnston returns to the role, and finds herself confronted with rug seller Eric Babbage's estranged wife Dorris who arrives to claim her inheritance.
In scenes to be screened in March, Gloria is seen saying: 'Eric was honest with me. He never even mentioned you. I can't believe this. Why didn't you get a divorce?'

To which Dorris replies: 'He was too tight for that. He thought I would cop for the lot if we got a divorce. Which is just as well now he's gone to that great vinyl flooring warehouse in the sky because I'll cop the lot anyway.'
Johnson returns to the show 30 years after she played the minor role of bookmaker's wife Mrs Chadwick, who is very different from the characters she played in Brookside and The Royle Family.
'She's very straight-talking and just doesn't care what she says and to whom she says it,' the actress said, 'she's the sort of person who takes pride in shooting from the hip. It never wins her any friends but she's clearly not bothered about that.'
'She wastes no time in ruffling feathers when she arrives in Weatherfield, which she thinks is a dump. As well as being blunt to the point of rudeness, she's also a terrible flirt which is terrific fun and a great combination to play.' Johnson continued.

Coronation Street bosses issue anti-homophobia memo

Coronation Street bosses have had to issue an anti-homophobia memo around the set of the Manchester-based soap opera.
This is after 'several recent instances' of remarks were heard around the set and studio.
Both the cast and crew have been reminded that ITV takes these issues of abuse very seriously.

The memo, was printed in the Sunday Mirror and stated: 'We have just been made aware of several recent instances of homophobic remarks being made on the studio floor.

'We are sure that the vast majority of people working on Coronation Street find such behaviour unacceptable but we'd like to make it absolutely clear that this is completely unacceptable to us, and to the company as a whole.
'ITV has a bullying and harassment policy which clearly states that such behaviour made lead to disciplinary proceedings.'
Inconsiderate: As gay actor Antony Cotton a favourite with viewers, this new warning should come as a shock both to the viewers and the cast of the famed soap.

'Me and my gorgeous girl'

Before being cast as feisty Michelle Connor in Coronation Street, Kym Lomas was better known for her singing as part of Hear'Say.
And it appears vocal talent runs in the family as her eldest daughter Emily sang at a charity ball on Friday night.
The mother-of-three, 36, proudly showed off her 15-year-old daughter on the red carpet as they arrived at the JD Sports Charity Ball in Manchester.

Her teenage daughter looked ready for her moment in the spotlight in a black Jones & Jones dress, red heels, with her long hair backcombed.
Her famous mother tweeted: 'Me and my gorgeous girl! So proud of her singing tonight!! Go Em!! Xxx.'

Meanwhile, Kym's actor husband Jamie is back in the United States looking for acting work.
He previously spent time in LA last Spring after leaving Hollyoaks for the second time in 2011.

At the time, Kym admitted it had been 'difficult' for them being so far apart.
However, he was soon back by Kym's side with the pair marrying in Cheshire last September.
The couple started dating in summer 2008, five months after Kym left her first husband, ex-EastEnder Jack Ryder.
They sadly lost their son Archie moments after birth in February 2009, but welcomed a healthy baby girl Polly together in March 2011.

'They remain good friends.'
Bill and Emma started dating in summer 2010 - over a year after his wife Sara's sudden death from a heart condition.

Last year, Bill hit the headlines for claiming he had slept with over 1,000 women during his youth.
His taste for the opposite sex led his Corrie co-stars to nickname him 'cock Roache'.

In an interview with Piers Morgan, he said: 'Looking back, I didn’t know any better.
'But what I did find out is, it does not bring you happiness and it is not the way to be.'
His first marriage to Anna Cropper broke down because of his infidelity.
The couple, who had been married for 13 years, had two children together, including the actor Linus Roache.
He went to marry second wife Sara in 1978, and he tamed his womanising ways.
They were happily wed for 31 years and had two children, before she collapsed and died at their Cheshire home in February 2000.

I'm A Celebrity... Don't Let Me Out Of Here !

She may not be the brightest celebrity on the box, but jungle princess Helen Flanagan showed off her perfect bikini body as she took a winter break in sunny Dubai.
The I'm A Celebrity star looked incredible in a bright pink string bikini as she pouted poolside at the Grosvenor Hotel.
And former Coronation Street Helen, 22, certainly looked like she didn't want to leave her sunshine break as she basked in the sun while back home celebrities were soaked on the EE Baftas red carpet.

Ever since she left the I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here jungle, Helen has been making the most of her gorgeous curves and figure to appear in a variety of men's mags.
Her most recent photo shoot saw the soapstar cuddling up to a large teddy-bear ready for Valentine's Day but for her beach break she adopted her famous trout pout.

She tweeted the photo, showcasing her new pink tinted hair as well as another more provocative image of Helen in a cropped white turtleneck top that barely managed to cover her ample chest.
Her need to post these saucy snaps, on the social networking site has led to the former Corrie star being branded a 'bimbo'.
But Helen has fought back against his label saying: 'People think that if you do sexy modelling, you're a bimbo or promiscuous - and I'm neither.

Does Kirsty get away with it?

It has been a storyline which gripped the nation, hapless Tyrone Dobbs being abused by his scheming girlfriend Kirsty until he is forced to flee the cobbles to escape the police.
This week Coronation Street audiences will see Tyrone, played by Alan Halsall, arrested by police after lover Fiz Stape, played by Jenny McAlpine, tips off officers.
But in a bizarre twist of fate good-natured Tyrone is jailed and forced to prove his innocence as former police officer Kirsty, played Natalie Gumede, accuses him of systematic abuse - despite her character attacking him.

This week viewers will be shocked as Tyrone goes on the run without his curly haired lover Fiz.
But actress McAlpine told itv.com her character wants her lover to happy and feels they can't be on the run.

'Fiz has been desperately wanting to help Tyrone, but it leaves Fiz thinking, "What are we going to do now?" She wants Tyrone to be okay with Ruby and for his plan to work, but she knows it's not going to.
'Kirsty's reported him and they're going to find them. So she wants them to be happy, but they can't be happy in that situation.
'She sees that her only alternative is to shop him to the police, but she does it because she loves him… She did it for the best.'

After Tyrone is arrested again the sweet-natured father is refused bail and is seen awaiting trial in prison.
In dramatic scenes set to air later this month, Kirsty is seen scrapping with Fiz outside Weatherfield Crown Court.
But viewers are unsure who is finally convicted of a crime, although it may be good news as Ken Barlow, played by Bill Roache, was seen cosying up to wife Deirdre.
