But Helen Flanagan proved her style critics wrong on Thursday when she ditched her usual Barbie girl look in favour of something a little more sophisticated.
Wearing a modest white dress and fitted jacket as she hopped into a taxi outside the Mayfair Hotel with friend Georgia Salpa, the 22-year-old seemed to have made a fashion U-turn.

Helen had clearly been on another spending splurge as she clutched two large shopping bags, one of which was from lingerie store Agent Provocateur.
And although her other half Scott Sinclair was clearly in for a treat, the former Corrie star looked a million miles away from her usual racy, covering up for once.

The model had ditched her usual top knot for a softer, more feminine style, leaving her blonde locks loose and scraped back from her face with a pair of sunglasses.
She also toned down her usually heavy make-up, going fresh-faced with just a hint of natural-looking mascara and lipgloss.
But Helen clearly couldn't resist injecting a little of her favourite colour into her outfit, carrying a bright pink handbag on her arm.

Perpetuating her ditzy image, Helen made a number of embarrassing errors while filming Celebrity Juice this week.
Asked to locate Australia on a globe, the former soap star looked completely lost before pointing out Russia.
