But when Helen Flanagan stepped out on Wednesday her outfit seemed to say it all, as the usually brightly dressed star opted for all black – a colour associated with those in mourning.
The former Coronation Street actress looked forlorn as she took to the streets of Manchester alone while keeping uncharacteristically quiet about the state of her relationship.

She wore a pair of skintight black jeans with a large black shawl draped around her shoulders.
Giving herself extra height she wore a pair of very high black heels, which were open toe – perfect for the warmer weather.

Helen was seen carrying a number of shopping bags a little later, perhaps purchasing a few items to make her feel better.
Laden with bags though, the star didn’t look any happier and kept her head down using her shawl for comfort.

The blonde has spoken out to close friends about the relationship, saying: 'It is over for good this time.'
A pal told the paper: 'Helen and Scott break up every other week. It is something all of her friends have got used to. But the fact that she’s told close pals it’s all over is a new step.'

Reports that the couple were on the rocks emerged back in January, after Helen's 'clingy' behaviour allegedly put a strain on the relationship.
A source told The Mirror: ‘Things are extremely strained. It looks as though it might have run its course.

Helen and Scott met back in 2009 while she was playing Rosie Webster in Coronation Street and he played for Wigan Athletic.
